Close Review: CRM for Sales Teams, Pricing and Who It Fits

Close review

Many sales teams have a CRM their reps avoid. Calls happen in one tool, emails in another and texts on someone’s phone, so the record in the CRM is always a step behind what actually happened.

Close is a CRM built around selling, with email, calling and SMS in one inbox, plus an AI sales agent on every plan. Our analysis of Close’s published pricing and feature documentation shows how its tiers and credits work. Pricing checked October 2026. To see it, start a 14-day free trial of Close.

What is Close?

Close is a CRM, or customer relationship management system, built for sales teams. It combines built-in email, calling and SMS in one inbox, sales automation, and Chloe, an AI sales agent included on every plan. It serves inside sales teams that live on calls, email and SMS.

How much does Close cost?

Close prices per user per month. Its pricing page shows two figures per tier under a “save up to 50%” banner: a list price for monthly billing and a discounted price for annual billing (Close’s FAQ confirms monthly and annual plans, with annual billing discounted). Figures below were checked 2026-10-04.

Plan Monthly billing, per user/month Annual billing, per user/month Notes
Solo $19 $9 1 user, 10,000 leads, no workflows
Essentials $49 $35 Unlimited contacts and leads, team collaboration, built-in forms, email, calling and SMS, centralized inbox and task list, no workflows
Growth (marked most popular) $109 $99 Adds automated workflows, power dialer, custom activities, bulk email
Scale $149 $139 Adds role-based access and permissions, lead visibility rules, predictive dialer, unlimited call recording retention, live call coaching
Custom Quote via sales Quote via sales For larger needs

Other terms: there is a 14-day free trial with no credit card, and the trial includes calling and AI credits. Close lists a 30-day money-back guarantee. Calling and SMS are passed through at cost. Close states that most outbound calls run around $0.02 per minute and phone numbers start at about $1 per month. Close also lists importers for HubSpot, Pipedrive and HighLevel, plus spreadsheet imports.

What are Close’s key features?

Per Close’s published documentation, the features group by outcome.

One inbox for email, calling and SMS. Essentials lists a centralized inbox and task list, with built-in email, calling and SMS.

Automation. Workflows start on Growth, along with the power dialer and bulk email. Scale adds the predictive dialer. A power dialer calls leads from a list one after another, and a predictive dialer calls several at once and connects the rep when someone answers.

Visibility and coaching. Scale lists unlimited call recording retention, live call coaching, role-based access and lead visibility rules.

Chloe, the AI sales agent. Chloe is included on every plan. Close describes Chloe as able to call leads, qualify prospects, book meetings, update CRM records, enrich lead data and answer pipeline questions. Those are the vendor’s descriptions and we did not verify them. Chloe runs on AI credits per user per month, which refresh monthly and do not roll over:

Plan AI credits per user per month Shared pool
Solo 500 Not listed
Essentials 1,000 Up to 10,000 per month
Growth 1,500 Up to 15,000 per month
Scale 2,000 Up to 20,000 per month

Who should use Close?

  • Inside sales teams that live on calls, email and SMS. Communication is built in.
  • Teams that will use dialers and workflows. Those start on Growth.
  • Managers who want call coaching and visibility. Scale lists them.
  • Teams moving from HubSpot, Pipedrive or HighLevel. Importers are listed.
  • Small teams with a tight budget. Solo and Essentials are the low entry points.
  • Anyone who wants to try first. The trial is 14 days with no card. When ready, try Close.

Who should skip Close?

  • Solo users who need workflows. They are not on Solo or Essentials.
  • Field sales teams that need a mobile or offline-first CRM. Close is built around calls, email and SMS.
  • Teams that need a free tier. Close lists a trial, not a free plan.
  • Teams that want a flat price including calling. Calling and SMS are billed at cost on top.

Questions to ask before you buy

  1. What is the real price per user? Confirm the list (monthly billing) and discounted (annual billing) figures for your billing period.
  2. How fast will Chloe use my AI credits at my call volume?
  3. Do I need workflows on day one? That forces Growth.
  4. What will calling and SMS cost in my markets?
  5. Do I need role-based access or call coaching? Those are on Scale.
  6. How well will my data import? Close lists HubSpot, Pipedrive and HighLevel importers.
  7. What is the refund process under the 30-day guarantee?
  8. How does the team credit pool work?

The verdict

Close is a strong choice for inside sales teams that want communication and CRM in one tool. Growth is the plan most teams will land on, because workflows and the power dialer start there, and Chloe is included from the start.

The catch is how the pricing is presented. Confirm which figure applies to your billing period, estimate AI credit use, and budget for calling and SMS pass-through costs. Use the 14-day trial on a real call list. Skip it if you are a solo user who needs workflows or a field team that needs mobile-first tools.
