airSlate Review: Templates, Workflow Automation, Pricing and Who It Fits

Document work slows down in the same places for most small teams. Someone fills in a form by hand, someone else checks it, a third person chases a signature. The tools in the drawer cover one step each, so the paper keeps moving by email.

airSlate sells one place to run the whole flow. This review covers what airSlate does, what its plans cost, who it suits and who should choose something simpler. Our analysis uses airSlate’s published pages and SignNow’s published pricing, checked 2026-10-01. You can see airSlate on the vendor’s site.

What is airSlate?

airSlate is a document workflow automation platform. It combines a library of more than 110,000 fillable document and form templates with no-code workflow automation, eSign, document generation, payments and a PDF editor. You start from a template or your own document, set up who fills, checks and signs it, and let the workflow route it.

How much does SignNow cost?

Our link for this program lands on SignNow, the eSignature product in the airSlate family, so SignNow’s plans are the ones priced here. SignNow prices per user, per month, with a discount for annual billing and a 7-day free trial. Figures below are from SignNow’s published pricing, checked 2026-10-01. Check the live page before you buy, since plans change. You can check SignNow pricing on the vendor’s site.

Plan Billed annually (per user/month) Month to month Best for
Basic $8 $20 Individuals and small teams sending simple eSignature documents
Business $15 $30 Growing teams
Advanced $30 $50 Multiple teams with complex signing flows
Enterprise Flexible, from $1.50 per signature invite Flexible High volumes; 30-day money-back guarantee

A few things stand out. First, the annual discount is steep: Basic drops from $20 to $8, so month to month is the expensive way to buy this. Second, there is a 7-day free trial, so you can test your real documents before paying anything. Third, the step from Business to Advanced is about control, not signature counts: custom branding, SMS delivery, advanced signer authentication, formula fields, conditional fields and approval workflows live on Advanced.

What are airSlate’s key features?

Per airSlate’s published specs, these are the features that decide which plan fits.

Templates. Over 110,000 fillable document and form templates. The value is breadth: contracts, HR forms, tax and business documents in one library.

No-code workflow automation. Build a flow that sends, checks and files documents without code. Non-technical staff can set it up.

eSign. Collect legally binding electronic signatures inside the same flow, instead of paying for a separate signing tool.

Document generation. Create documents from your data, so repeat paperwork starts pre-filled.

Payments. Collect payment as part of a document flow, for example alongside a signed agreement.

PDF editor. Edit, annotate and prepare PDFs without leaving the platform.

Integrations and API. airSlate lists a wide integration catalog. If you live inside a CRM, explore airSlate and check your exact stack before you commit.

What does airSlate say about itself?

airSlate makes claims about company size and customer numbers. These are the vendor’s own claims and we did not verify them. We cite no user counts, savings figures or ratings here.

Who should use airSlate?

  • Small teams with repeat paperwork. Offers, onboarding packs and client forms follow the same steps each time.
  • HR and operations staff. Template breadth plus routing saves manual chasing.
  • Sales teams that collect signatures and payment in one flow. Fewer tools to stitch together.
  • Non-technical builders. No-code setup suits teams without a developer.
  • Anyone who wants to test cheaply. A 7-day free trial and an $8 Basic plan make a low-risk pilot. When ready, try airSlate.

Who should skip airSlate?

  • Anyone who needs the whole airSlate platform in one buy. This link lands on SignNow; the family’s other products, like pdfFiller and DocHub, are separate products with their own pricing.
  • Anyone who needs heavy no-code workflow automation. SignNow signs, sends and tracks documents; complex automated flows are the wider family’s job, not this product’s.
  • Teams that will not build workflows. The value is in automation; if you only fill PDFs, a basic editor does the job.
  • Developers who want deep custom code. This is a no-code product.
  • Buyers who want one flat team price. SignNow charges per user, so the bill rises with every sender you add.

Questions to ask before you buy

  1. How many people will send documents? SignNow prices per user, so count senders before you pick a tier.
  2. Annual or month to month? Annual is far cheaper here: Basic is $8 a month billed annually against $20 month to month.
  3. Which templates will we actually use? Test your three most common documents.
  4. Does it connect to our CRM? Confirm the integration on your stack.
  5. Who signs, and in what order? Map the flow before you build it.
  6. Do we need payments in the flow? If yes, confirm fees and regions.
  7. What does Enterprise add? It is flexible-priced for high volumes, so ask for a written quote.
  8. What happens when the team grows mid-year? Confirm how added users are billed before you scale.

The verdict

airSlate is a practical all-in-one for document work: templates, workflow, eSign, generation and payments in one subscription. The 7-day free trial and low Basic price make it easy to test with real documents.

The catch is per-user pricing. Every new sender adds to the bill, so a growing team pays more each time it hires. Count your senders, test your busiest document on the trial, then try airSlate on the SignNow tier that fits. Basic for solo use, Business for growing teams, Advanced once signing flows get complex. Skip it if you only need to fill in PDFs.
