Your first business website needs hosting that is cheap, simple and not a second job. The trap is the headline price: hosting is usually sold as a low first-term rate that renews higher, and the plan limits only show up later.
Hostinger is one of the best-known budget hosts. This review covers what Hostinger sells, what its plans cost on the introductory term, and, just as important, what they renew at. Our analysis uses Hostinger’s published pricing, with figures checked 2026-10-05. If you are launching a first site, try Hostinger while a promotion is running.

How much does Hostinger cost?
Hostinger prices hosting as an introductory first-term price, in US dollars per month, with a higher renewal price after the first term. The prices below are the 48-month term figures from Hostinger’s pricing page, checked 2026-10-05, and the full term is billed upfront. Read both columns before you compare plans: the renewal price is what you will actually pay for most of your time with the host. To see current offers, check Hostinger.
| Plan | Introductory price per month (48-month term) | Renewal price per month | What Hostinger lists |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium | $2.99 | $10.99 | 3 websites, 20 GB SSD storage, free domain for the first year, weekly backups, 2 mailboxes per website free for 1 year |
| Unlimited | $3.99 | $16.99 | Unlimited websites, 50 GB NVMe storage, free domain for the first year, daily backups, unlimited mailboxes per website free for 1 year |
| Cloud Startup | $7.99 | $25.99 | Unlimited websites, 100 GB NVMe storage, free domain for the first year, daily and on-demand backups, unlimited mailboxes per website free for 1 year |
One naming note: Hostinger’s pricing page currently labels the $3.99 tier “Unlimited”; the same tier has also been sold as “Business”. It is the middle shared plan either way.
All three plans include a free domain for the first year on terms of 12 months or longer, free SSL, free site migration and a 30-day money-back guarantee, per the vendor. The free domain’s WHOIS privacy protection is valued by Hostinger at $9.99.
Hostinger also sells VPS plans, website builder plans and email plans, each with its own promotional pricing that changes often. Those are separate products from the shared and cloud plans above.
What does Hostinger include?
Per Hostinger’s published plan pages, these are the items that decide which plan fits.
Websites and storage. Premium allows 3 websites and 20 GB of SSD storage. The Unlimited and Cloud Startup plans allow unlimited websites, with 50 GB and 100 GB of NVMe storage.
Free domain, first year. Included on all three plans on terms of 12 months or longer.
WordPress tools. Managed WordPress hosting is built into the plans, with the AI Builder included on a credit allowance (5 credits on Premium, 15 on the higher plans, per the vendor’s plan comparison).
Backups. Weekly backups on Premium; daily backups on Unlimited; daily and on-demand backups on Cloud Startup.
Email. Mailboxes are free for the first year: 2 per website on Premium, unlimited per website on the higher plans.
Performance and security. LiteSpeed servers, a free CDN, free SSL and a malware scanner, per the vendor.
Support. Priority 24/7 expert support via live chat. Hostinger does not offer phone support.
If you are comparing plans, try Hostinger on Premium first.
What does Hostinger say about itself?
Hostinger claims a 99.9% uptime guarantee and a large global customer base across many countries. Those are the vendor’s own marketing claims, and we did not verify them. This article cites no speed scores or user review ratings. If uptime matters for your site, read the guarantee terms and test during the 30-day money-back period.
Who should use Hostinger?
- First-time site owners. Low entry price and a builder included.
- Bloggers and small WordPress sites. WordPress is built into every plan.
- Small stores and portfolios. Enough storage on Premium for a simple site.
- Anyone launching several small sites. The Unlimited plan removes the website cap. When ready, try Hostinger.
Who should skip Hostinger?
- Buyers who hate renewal jumps. Premium goes from $2.99 to $10.99 a month at renewal, and Cloud Startup from $7.99 to $25.99. If that pattern bothers you, price other hosts on their regular rates.
- High-traffic sites on day one. Shared hosting has limits; look at VPS or cloud.
- Anyone who needs phone support. Hostinger’s support is live chat.
- Teams that need Windows hosting. Check platform support first.
Questions to ask before you buy
- What is the renewal price? Write it down before you pay the intro price: $10.99, $16.99 or $25.99 a month on these plans.
- How many sites and how much storage do I need? Size the plan to that.
- Do I need daily backups? That points to Unlimited or Cloud Startup.
- Is the free domain included, and what does it renew at?
- WordPress, builder or both? Pick one route per site.
- What is the money-back period? Hostinger lists 30 days; test inside it.
- When does this promotion end? Prices change often.
- What happens if traffic spikes? Ask about upgrade paths.
The verdict
Hostinger is a strong budget pick for a first business site, a blog or a small store. The plan steps are simple, the builder and WordPress options cover most small sites, and the entry price is low.
The catch is the renewal price, and it is not a small one: every plan renews at roughly three times its introductory monthly figure, and the full term is billed upfront. Judge Hostinger on the renewal numbers in the table above and on the storage and site limits, not on the $2.99 headline. Start on Premium if a few sites are enough, and move to Unlimited for daily backups and no website cap. Try Hostinger during a promotion, and set a reminder to recheck renewal pricing before the term ends.
