Tradify Review: Job Management for Trades, Pricing and Who It Fits

Tradify review

Running a trade business on paper, texts and spreadsheets gets messy fast. Jobs, quotes, invoices, timesheets and materials live in different places, and the owner ends up as the system that holds them together.

Tradify is job management software for trade businesses that puts enquiries, quoting, scheduling, invoicing and payments in one place, with apps for the crew in the field. Our analysis is based on Tradify’s published pricing page, checked in October 2026. To see the plans, try Tradify.

What is Tradify?

Tradify is a job management platform for small trade businesses: electricians, plumbers, builders, HVAC and other field service trades. It covers the job from first enquiry to final invoice: quoting, scheduling, job tracking, invoicing and payments. It runs on desktop, Android and iOS, and it syncs with Xero and QuickBooks Online for the accounting side.

How much does Tradify cost?

Tradify charges per user per month, in US dollars. It is a month-to-month subscription with no contracts, and you can cancel anytime, per the vendor. Its pricing page, checked 2026-10-04, lists four tiers:

Plan Price per user per month What Tradify lists
Lite $47 The basics for contractors: job management, notes and tracking, scheduling, quoting and invoicing
Pro $51 Adds custom branding, the inquiry form and email inbox, job photos and files, recurring jobs, timesheets, and quote and invoice reminders
Plus $61 Adds SmartRead for bills and SmartWrite (AI features, per the vendor), purchase orders, bulk invoicing, kit bundles and reporting
Custom Price by request For large teams

There is a 14-day free trial. There is no free plan, only the trial. One optional add-on applies to all tiers: Instant Website at $12 per month.

Because pricing is per user, the crew size sets the bill. A five-person crew on Pro costs 5 x $51 = $255 per month, before the optional website add-on. To run your own numbers, see Tradify’s pricing through our link.

What are Tradify’s key features?

Per Tradify’s published pricing page, the features break down like this.

Job pipeline in one place. Enquiries, quotes, scheduling with Google Calendar sync, job tracking, invoicing and payments in one system, instead of a whiteboard, a group text and a spreadsheet. This core set is on all tiers.

Quoting and invoicing tools. Pricing and markups, online and credit card payments (via Stripe), and email tracking are on all tiers. Pro and Plus add quote options with online acceptance, reminders and templates, and progress invoicing.

Field and job records. Pro and Plus add job photos and files, recurring jobs and custom statuses, job templates, timesheets, and subcontractor scheduling. Plus adds job tasks, service reminders, and job service reports.

Accounting sync. Tradify syncs with Xero and QuickBooks Online, and the vendor lists the integration itself at no extra charge. Invoicing inside Tradify and syncing to accounting reduces double entry.

AI helpers on Plus. SmartRead for bills and SmartWrite are listed on Plus, described by the vendor as AI features.

The vendor also offers Tradify Experts onboarding (guided setup and training on core features) and live walkthroughs twice a week. Those are vendor offers; confirm current availability during the trial.

Who should use Tradify?

  • Sole traders on Lite. One person quoting, scheduling and invoicing from a phone.
  • Small crews on Pro. A few techs who need dispatch and shared job visibility.
  • Growing shops on Plus. More admin, more jobs in flight, and reporting across the crew.
  • Electricians, plumbers, builders and HVAC crews. The trades the vendor names directly.
  • Xero and QuickBooks Online users. The named integrations fit shops already running one of those for accounts. When you are ready, start a Tradify trial.

Who should skip Tradify?

  • Businesses that need a free plan. There is none, only a 14-day trial.
  • Large operations that need published Custom pricing. The Custom tier is priced by request, not on the pricing page.
  • Very price-sensitive solo operators. At $47 per user per month on the lowest tier, paper or a general invoicing app may be cheaper if job management is not yet the bottleneck.

Questions to ask before you buy

  1. What does my whole crew cost? Price is per user, so multiply by every tech, apprentice and office user who needs a login.
  2. Which features are on my tier? The step from Lite to Pro is where timesheets, job photos and reminders start. Confirm your must-haves against the tier list.
  3. What does Custom cost, and who is it for? It is priced by request for large teams.
  4. How clean is the accounting sync? Test the Xero or QuickBooks Online sync with real invoices during the trial, including payments and credit notes if you use them.
  5. Does the mobile app work on your sites? Have your crew run it for the full 14 days, on real jobs.
  6. What happens if I add users mid-month? The subscription is month-to-month with no contract; confirm how seat changes bill before you scale the crew.

The verdict

Tradify fits small trade businesses that have outgrown paper and group texts and want quoting, scheduling, invoicing and timesheets in one app the crew will actually carry. The three published tiers are close together in price ($47, $51 and $61 per user per month), the subscription is month-to-month, and the Xero and QuickBooks Online sync covers the accounting side.

The catch is the per-user model itself: every login is a line item, so a growing crew watches the bill grow with it, and the Custom tier for large teams has no published price. Use the trial with your real jobs and your real crew before you commit.
