Sales and support teams still live on the phone. The problem is rarely the call itself. It is the setup around it: shared numbers, missed callbacks, no record of what was said, and a desk phone that stays in the office.
KrispCall is a cloud phone system built for that setup. This review covers what it does, what it costs, who should consider it and who should look elsewhere. Prices were checked 2026-09-30 against KrispCall’s own pricing page.

What is KrispCall?
KrispCall is a cloud VoIP business phone system. VoIP (voice over internet protocol) means calls run over the internet instead of a traditional phone line. KrispCall says you get virtual local, mobile and toll-free numbers, with no hardware to install, and you can make and take calls from a web browser, a desktop or a mobile app.
The product is aimed at sales and support teams. Its feature list leans toward outbound calling, call recording, routing and team coaching more than toward a plain office phone.
How much does KrispCall cost?
KrispCall charges per user per month, with a lower price on annual billing (KrispCall says annual billing saves 20%). These figures come from the vendor’s pricing page as verified on 2026-09-30.
| Plan | Annual billing (per user, per month) | Monthly billing (per user, per month) | User limit | Included minutes and texts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $12 | $15 | Up to 5 | 200 outbound and 200 inbound minutes, 100 SMS segments |
| Advance | $32 | $40 | Up to 50 | 1,000 outbound and 1,000 inbound minutes, 500 SMS segments |
| Max | $48 | $60 | No member limit | Unlimited calling under a fair-use policy, 1,000 SMS |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 50+ seats | Custom |
A few things matter more than the headline price:
- Every plan includes one free number per user. KrispCall lists a free US, UK or Canadian number and a $1 testing credit on each plan.
- Overages are billed. Minutes and messages beyond the plan are billed per minute or per message, and the rate depends on the country. Ask for the rate table for the countries you call.
- Unlimited has a catch. The Max plan says unlimited calling and SMS are subject to a Fair Usage Policy. Read that policy before you rely on it for heavy outbound volume.
- Features step up by tier. Call recording and call transcripts are included from Advance. The power dialer, bulk SMS campaigns and Salesforce integration are listed as paid add-ons from Advance up, so budget for them separately.
The part buyers miss: KrispCall says it has no free plan and no free trial. Its FAQ says so directly: “KrispCall does not currently offer a free trial or free plan.” It offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on the subscription and a free personalized demo instead. That means you pay first and get a refund window, not a test drive.
What are KrispCall’s key features?
Based on our review of KrispCall’s published feature pages, these are the capabilities that decide whether a plan fits.
Unified inbox for calls and texts. KrispCall lists a shared inbox it calls the Callbox, where calls, texts and notes sit together. Ask for a walkthrough, since an inbox is only useful if your team will actually use it.
IVR. An IVR (interactive voice response) is the phone menu that routes callers (“press 1 for sales”). KrispCall lists a phone tree / IVR.
Call recording with AI transcripts. KrispCall describes recording with AI-generated transcripts and summaries, included from the Advance plan. It also lists voicemail transcription.
Call coaching. Managers can listen to a live call, whisper to the agent without the caller hearing, or barge in and join. KrispCall lists all three.
Power dialer. A power dialer calls down a list automatically, so reps do not dial by hand. KrispCall lists it as an add-on from the Advance plan up.
Bulk SMS. Send one message to many contacts. Bulk SMS is listed as an add-on from Advance, and messaging is metered by plan.
Simultaneous ringing. An incoming call rings several agents at once, so someone answers quickly.
Integrations. KrispCall lists more than 100 integrations, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Zapier and Microsoft Teams. Salesforce is listed as an add-on from Advance. Confirm that your CRM is on the list and which plan unlocks it.
Security. KrispCall lists ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance. These are the vendor’s statements. If procurement needs proof, ask for the certificate.
What does KrispCall say about its results?
These numbers are KrispCall’s own marketing claims. We did not verify them.
- KrispCall says more than 9,000 businesses use it and that it has more than 1,600 reviews.
- KrispCall cites a “35% rise in call efficiency,” “18,400 hours saved” and “3x outreach.” These are customer-outcome claims from the vendor. Ask which customers, over what period, and how the figures were measured.
- KrispCall’s feature page says G2 recognized it as a VoIP leader in several regions. Check G2 directly for the current report and its date.
Who should use KrispCall?
- Small sales teams. Starter at up to five users is priced for a small group, and recording and transcripts step in at the next tier.
- Outbound-heavy teams. The dialer, bulk texting and call coaching suit reps who make many calls a day. Note the dialer and bulk SMS are paid add-ons.
- Support teams that need routing. IVR, simultaneous ringing and a shared inbox cover basic contact-center needs.
- Remote and hybrid teams. Browser and mobile apps mean no desk phones.
- Teams that work in a supported CRM. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Zoho are on the list.
- Companies calling across borders. Virtual numbers in several countries make local presence easier, subject to country rates.
Who should skip KrispCall?
- Buyers who want to test before paying. There is no free plan and no free trial. The 14-day money-back guarantee and the demo are the only test options.
- Teams over 50 seats or with heavy compliance needs. The Enterprise plan is custom. Compare it with larger business phone vendors.
- Very small teams that only need a second number. The Starter plan’s per-user price and minute limits may be more than you need.
- Teams that need deep call-center features. KrispCall offers contact-center solutions on its website, but check that your reporting and workforce needs are covered before you commit.
- Companies calling many countries on heavy volume. Overages are billed by country, so the real cost depends on your call mix.
Questions to ask before you buy
- What are the per-minute and per-message overage rates for the countries I call? Get the rate table in writing.
- What is the Fair Usage Policy on the Max plan? Ask for the exact limits on “unlimited” calling.
- Which integrations come with which plan? Confirm your CRM, and whether the sync is two-way.
- How much do the add-ons cost? The power dialer, bulk SMS and Salesforce integration are add-ons from Advance. Get their prices.
- How good is call quality in my regions? Ask for references from customers who call the same countries.
- How are AI transcripts and summaries handled? Ask where recordings are stored, for how long, and who can see them.
- Can I see a demo with my use case? With no trial, the demo is your test. Bring a real call flow.
- What happens if I outgrow Starter’s five-user limit? Check the upgrade path and whether you must change plans mid-term.
- What does the 14-day money-back guarantee cover? The page says it applies to the subscription. Ask whether it includes usage charges and set-up fees.
The verdict
KrispCall is a reasonable pick for small and mid-size sales and support teams that want a cloud phone with calling tools built in. The pricing table is clear, the feature ladder makes sense, and the coaching and recording features fit outbound teams better than a basic phone plan does.
The catch is that you cannot try it before you pay, and the headline features that sell Advance — the power dialer, bulk SMS and Salesforce integration — are paid add-ons, so the real cost of an outbound setup is higher than the per-user price. Use the demo with a real call flow, read the overage and fair-use terms, and keep the 14-day refund window in mind. Choose Starter for a team of up to five. Choose Advance if you need recording and transcripts, and budget for the add-ons if you need the dialer. Choose Max if your team makes a lot of calls and the fair-use policy suits your volume. Skip it if you want a free trial or need a large enterprise contact-center platform.
